High Resolution?
You decide...Our
modified 3D Systems SLA 250's run solid state lasers at .003
inches layer resolution.
These machines run at an optimized set of build styles to
take advantage of speed and accuracy resulting in better parts
for the price! With a .003 inches "Laser Spot" Diameter"
and .003 inches layers you can compare the quality to the
Viper HR. This build style is exactly in the middle of the
dual resolution that the Viper si2 was designed to run, we
can build near Viper HR mode at standard prices. With our
ability to run outside of the 5" X 5" build envelope
in near High Resolution mode. Some parts do need the next
level higher of the Viper HR at .002 inches layers.
While we also run the 3D Systems Viper si2, the 3D Systems
Viper si2 lets you choose between standard resolution mode,
Viper is a dual mode machine for the best balance of build
speed and part resolution, and high resolution (HR) mode for
ultra-detailed small parts and features. When we only run
the Viper we run in HR mode,
ask your current supplier if they are running in HR mode before
assuming you get HR, there is a difference.
Many times clients believe they need Viper HR but often
not. That's' why the custom machines are a nice balance of
HR and price.

the spec's we run in both "Custom and si2 Viper".
What you will find is the Viper
si2 runs the same Laser diameter .003 inches, and only .001
inches less layer thickness on the Viper in HR
mode and the
Viper running in HR mode builds inside of a 5"
X 5". This 5" X 5" square spot is critical for
Viper Quality fine feature small part builds, as the Laser
leans outward towards the side of the 10" platform the
spot becomes oval. This is common on all part builds even
on the Viper in standard mode but it is limited in HR mode
and that's why the center of the machine platform is where
the Viper quality HR parts come from.
